Bangladesh named squad for the first Test match against England


On Sunday, Bangladesh Cricket Board have declared 14-men Test squad for the first Test match of ‘Rocket Bangladesh vs England’ Test series. A lot of coruscation have been seen in the squad of first Test match. [Read in Bangla: প্রথম টেস্টের দল চমকে ভরা]

Only two pacers have been included in this test squad. At the same time, many cricketers who were played Test for Bangladesh in the last year have been dropped by the selectors for the upcoming Test match.

On the contrary, some new faces have got chance in this squad. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who led Bangladesh U-19 cricket team in the U-19 World Cup has got chance in the test squad of Bangladesh national cricket team for the very first time. Young wicket keeper batsman, Nurul Hasan Sohan has also got chance for the first Test match.

Dream comes true for Sabbir Rahman also, who has already made debut in ODI and T20I for Bangladesh as he is also being selected for the Chittagong Test. Pacer, Kamrul Islam Rabbi also get chance in this squad. Now, They are just one step away to make their Test Debut.

Shahriar Nafees who has passed a good season with the bat in domestic cricket also in the first warm up match against England don’t get chance in this squad. Alongside him, Speedstars Rubel Hossain, Al-Amin Hossain, wicket-keeper batsman Litton Das, young leggy Jubair Hossain Likhon have been dropped by the selectors from the squad of  first  Test match.
