Bangladesh re-write 128 years old record
Bangladesh had a day to remember after a brilliant team effort on the day two of the second Test match against Windies where they also made a record that happened 128 years ago before today.
After posting a mammoth 508 runs in the first innings, Bangladesh wrecked down the Windies top-order and all the top five batsman were bowled. The last time it happened was in 1890 at The Oval when England dismissed the top 5 five Australian batsman is similar fashion.
It all started from the first over of the Windies innings when skipper Shakib Al Hasan knocked down the stumps of Windies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite. After a couple of overs, Mehidy Hasan joined the party and clean bowled Kieran Powell.
An aggressive Sunil Ambris came down the wicket, but only to miss the line of the ball and get bowled by Shakib. Roston Chase departed for a golden duck after he misjudged a superb delivery from Mehidy.
And the last one was also picked by Mehidy which kept too low for Shai Hope to defend the ball and the in the end, stumps kept flying and Bangladesh re-alive a 128-year old record.
