But the recent losing streak made the fans worried. Tigers recently lost to New Zealand 3/0 in the One Day series following a 2/1 series defeat against the England Cricket team at home.

Another reason for Tigers to worry was Pakistan Cricket team had the chance to overtake them in the rankings. Azhar Ali’s side would have done this if they won the series against the Australia.

Luckily, nothing like that did happened. Pakistan Cricket team lose to Australia 4-1 in the five match One Day series that concluded yesterday. But if they had won atleast one more match, they would have jumped to number seven replacing Bangladesh.

The International Cricket Council- ICC has published the updated ranking at the end of the series. In which Bangladesh has remained at number seven with 91 rating points. Pakistan is at eight with just two points less.

Australia are at the top in ranking followed by South Africa and India in two and three respectively. [Read more: Preliminary squad announced for upcoming India & Sri Lanka tours]
