Bangladesh to play a practice match against Sydney Thunder


Bangladesh Cricket Board XI will play a practice match against the Big Bash League Champions Sydney Thunder ahead of their  tour to New Zealand  in the later of this year in December. Before New Zealand tour Bangladesh will make a conditioning camp in Australia so that Tigers can get an idea and adjust with the conditions of New Zealand. To fulfill the preparation of this camp Tigers will played this match against the Big Bash champions.

The former coach of Sydney Thunder, Chandika Hathurusingha,  who is currently in the charge of Bangladesh national cricket team has opted and fixed this warm up match. “I thought it was a good way to see how these guys measured up against the champions as it’ll give us a lot of confidence if we do well,” said Hathurusingha.

Bangladesh has been playing good cricket, especially in fifty over cricket, in T20 cricket we still have a little way to go, but we have some exciting cricketers and getting to play the top side in the world gives you a good idea of where you’re at.”– he further added.

However, after getting the proposal to play a practice match against BCB XI before the journey of new season of the KFC T20 Big Bash League, the authorities of Sydney Thunder become excited and happier.

Report published of Sydney Thunder’s happiness about this match in their official website. According to their report, General Manager Nick Cummins expressed his happiness about this match and told that “I was very excited when Chandika and the BCB approached us about the possibility of this practice match and I’m delighted it has come together.”

He also hopeful to watch an exciting match between this two sides. “We’ve built terrific support for the Thunder amongst the Bangladesh community in Sydney and I imagine that their loyalties will be severely tested in this match. I’m sure they will come out in force and create a great atmosphere.”– he further added.
