Bangladesh Women’s team reach final of quadrangular series in India

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team have reached the final of  Twenty20 Quadrangular Series in India. They have confirmed the final beating Thailand in the last ball by two wickets in a breathtaking match at Patna.

Thailand Women’s Cricket Team managed to get only 120 runs losing 3 wickets in the destined 20 overs after losing the toss at Patna in Bihar on Monday.

In reply, Shamima Sultana scored 38 runs off 37 balls, giving the Tigresses 91 runs in 16.1 overs losing just 2 wickets. But the match turned around after Shamima got out by LBW.

Bangladesh became 112 for 8 wickets at one time from 2 wickets. They fell in fear of losing  after they lost three wickets in the 19th over.

From there, Fahima Khatun rescued the team with four boundaries and played a dramatic innings of 28 runs off just 13 balls, confirmed the win for her team in the last over.

Bangladesh had gone on to play the four-team tournament in preparation for the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia. Here, two Indian teams – named by A and B are playing. The Indian B team had advanced to the final. Bangladesh will face them in Patna on Wednesday.
