Bankers Championship Trophy in Bangladesh makes grand inauguration

To bring about some delightful times amidst the hectic schedule of corporate life, the first ever Bankers Championship Trophy have been launched in Bangladesh.

Initiated by Ace, the competition will be comprised of sixteen banks including Bangladesh bank. A colorful inaugural ceremony was organized on Monday evening at the Pan Pacific Sonargoan Hotel in Dhaka.

Bangladesh Bank governor Dr. Fazle Kabir inaugurated the program and unveiled the trophy. He said, “Special thanks to the organization for arranging such a distinctive competition. Entertainment is one of the most essential parts of life. Lack of entertainment decrease productivity. Hope this tournament could make a bonding between sports and corporate arena of the country.”

The founder and CEO of organizer company Ace Mr. Ishtiaq Sadek said, “We are very pleased to be able to accommodate such a sporting arrangement for the bankers. Our objective is to build a co-operative relation between sports and banking arena in here.” is working as the online media partner of the tournament.

Sixteen teams in four groups are going to participate in the competition.

These are –

Group A: Prime Bank Limited, AB Bank Limited, South Bangla Agricultural and Commerce Bank Limited and Mutual Trust Bank Limited.

Group B: NRB Bank Limited, Islami Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Bank Limited and First Security Islami Bank Limited.

Group C: Eastern Bank Limited, Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Brac Bank Limited and United Commercial Bank Limited.

Group D: City Bank Limited, Bank Asia Limited, Dhaka Bank and Bangladesh Bank. 

The tournament will kick start from February 7, 2020.
