Barisal to spend 35000$ in every match for Gayle!

It is of no doubt that Caribbean superstar Chris Gayle is the most popular face in T-20 format of the game. Cricket fans are very much used to catch him live in every popular T-20 leagues in different countries all over the world.

Gayle is also a popular face in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Like previous two seasons, he already confirmed to play in the third season of the BPL as well.

Although Gayle had played for Dhaka Gladiators in last season, this time he confirmed to play for Barisal Bulls. The Caribbean T-20 man has the experience of playing for Barisal as he played for Barisal Burners in the first season of Bangladesh Premier League which has been newly named as ‘Barisal Bulls’ after the franchise of Barisal is also changed.

Barisal Bulls will have to pay a huge amount of money for Chris Gayle. They contracted to spend 35000 US dollar for Gayle in every match.

The owner of the franchise Rizwan Bin Faruk has confirmed the information while talking with Jamuna TV, one of the most popular TV channels of Bangladesh.

Although Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already fixed the price level of the foreign cricketers, franchises have the freedom to buy a player above the fixed rate through personal agreement. In that case, BCB will not have any liabilities regarding their payment issues and this is the basis of condition in which Barisal Bulls had made their contract with Chris Gayle.

Chris Gayle will be available only for five matches in this year BPL which will be started from 22 November.
