Base prices of Bangladeshi cricketers in IPL-9 auction

A total of four Bangladeshi cricketers have been picked for the auction of the ninth season of Indian Premier League (IPL). The IPL-9 auction is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on 6 February.

Among the four Bangladeshis, dashing opener Tamim Iqbal and the young pace bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman have been bracketed into the base price of INR 50 lakh (58 lakh Taka).

It means if any of the nine franchises taking part in the IPL-9 delivers their interest to rope in either of the players, the bidding must begin from as low as INR 50 lakh.

Meanwhile, the other two Tigers – aggressive opening batsman Soumya Sarkar and paceman Taskin Ahmed will go under the hammer with a base price of INR 30 lakh (35 lakh Taka).

The BCCI has circulated a list of 714 players who are up for the IPL-9 auction among the franchises, who had time till Monday to shortlist of 300 players from the list.
