Batsman dismissed bizarrely in Sheffield Shield match

In the incident, Jason Sangha was bowling at the other end against Hilton Cartwright, the batsman was in the position to pull the ball over mid-wicket as the ball pitched halfway across the wicket.

But as soon as the ball flew off Cartwright’s bat, it hit in the helmet of Nick Larkin who was fielding at the short as he ducked to save his head.

The ball immediately flew in the air as it was caught by Sangha as an easy catch. Cartwright stood in total disbelief.

Another such incident took place back in February 2017, Queensland’s Mark Steketee was the first player to be dismissed in the same manner.

The catch was completed after it hit a fielder’s helmet. More astonishingly, the fielder at that time was also Nick Larkin!
