Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have finally responded to the situation as they have called an emergency meeting of its directors on Tuesday to discuss the issue and demands bought up by the Bangladesh cricketers on Monday.

The national cricketers including the first-class cricketers caused havoc at the home of cricket when they called a press conference on Monday afternoon. The team with more than 50 players led by Bangladesh’s Test and T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan read out the 11-point demand and also announced they won’t be connected to anything related to cricket until their demands are met.

Meanwhile, on the other side, BCB are in tremendous sort of pressure and rightly so, they are feeling the heat of the ultimatum. The board have less than 48 hours to convince the players to play the next round of the National Cricket League (NCL) while a bit more to convince them to participate in a prep camp for the tour of India.

So far, some of the members of BCB have given their opinion on the players calling strike including director Jalal Younus.

“We had no idea that the cricketers were so angry, disappointed and upset. They could have placed the demands at the board before issuing the ultimatum. However, they went to the media to call off all cricketing activities. This is nothing but blackmailing,” he said.
