BCB announces Asia XI and World XI squads

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the final squads of Asia XI and World XI who will be competing in the Bangabandhu 100-year celebration three-match T20I series in Dhaka next month.

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan announced the final squads of Asia XI and World XI for the three-match T20I series in Dhaka next month. Both teams are comprised of a lot of International stars.

On the Asian side, six Indian players are included including Virat Kohli. But Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are expected to appear in one game only. The limitation of their participation is due to the home series against South Africa.

Also, the team includes Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, and Mushfiqur Rahim. Still, the captain of the side is not announced and it will be announced soon according to the sources.

On the next side, World XI will be led by South African player Faf du Plessis. The squad includes some big names like Chris Gayle, Jonny Bairstow, Alex Hales, etc. The team led by Faf du Plessis will be mentored by Tom Moody.

Asia XI Squad: KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Mohd. Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Liton Das, T Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, T Perera, Rashid Khan, Mustafizur Rahman, Sandeep Lamichhane, Lasith Malinga, Mujeeb Ur Rehman.

World XI Squad: Faf du Plessis (c), Alex Hales, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Brendan Taylor, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid, Kieron Pollard,  Sheldon Cottrell, Lungi Ngidi, Andrew Tye, Mitchell McClenaghan
