BCB apologizes for misstep spelling ‘Bangladesh’

The printed ticket of the third match of the series showed the inaccurate spelling of the country name, evoked wide criticisms around Bangladesh.

The cricketing fraternity of the country have poured total unacceptance regarding the bizarre incident of terming Bangladesh wrongly in a match ticket arranged at home.

Following the incident, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) authorities apologized for the unwilling mistake. In an electronic media release said, the board authorities are really repenting about the mistake and they are going to take necessary steps in this regard.

The release also said BCB will reprint the tickets that are yet to be sold. BCB further said they will take stern actions against those who are responsible for such act.

The third match of the tri-nation series will begin on 12 pm Bangladesh Standard time at the home of cricket Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Bangladesh, having won their first match against Zimbabwe comprehensively are clear favorites in this match.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka lost their series opener in a slim margin against Zimbabwe. It can be noted former Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha is now working with Sri Lanka and this is going to be the first encounter between his just previous and present teams.
