BCB didn't know about Shakib's commercial shoot

Shakib Al Hasan and his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir had escaped a horror helicopter crash in Cox’s Bazar yesterday. They went there for a commercial shoot. BCB came to know about it after the helicopter crashed while it was returning to Dhaka. Four people were injured, one person died in the crash. BCB CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Nizamuddin Chowdhurh said, “Though BCB did not know about the journey earlier, now we have been observing the situation very carefully.

“Cricketers are in vacation and board is closed. So BCB do not know any thing about Shakib’s Cox’s Bazar tour for commercial shoot as well as he also did not inform us about the tour. We will discuss with our cricketers about commercial tours safety to aware them,” he added.

BCB CEO also said that the cricketers are the national property and they are the representatives of nation. They should not forget about it. He said, “Cricketers should not forget that they are national property and the representatives of nation.”

Shakib and Shishir landed in Inani, Cox’s Bazar at 9:30 am on Friday. The Meghna Aviation’s helicopter crashed around 10:30 am in Ukhiya while it was on return to Dhaka.

After the crash, Shakib said that he is fine but he was shocked at the news of crash.
