BCB extends contract with Richard Stoiner

Richard Stonier started working as a trainer in Bangladesh High Performance Unit from July 2016. The fitness of the players of the World Cup winning Bangladesh U-19 team was maintained by his supervision. In regard of success, he has achieved the milestone as the team has won the World Cup under him. Therefore, the board’s ‘renewal of confidence’ in Stonier was expected.

BCB extends contract with Richard Stoiner

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has extended the contract with the  English coach. Stoiner , who has been in charge of the ICC U-19 World Cup until 2020, has signed a contract with the BCB until 2022.Stonier himself shared this good news on social media Instagram. He termed getting a new responsibility after the world victory as ‘dream fulfillment’. He said that he is feeling return to the field as soon as possible.

Stonier has been working as a professional trainer for more than seven years. Before coming to Bangladesh, he worked in the franchise-based T20 event Pakistan Super League-PSL. He came to limelight after he had worked for the Lahore Calendars. He has previously worked in the country’s first-class cricket. Following this, BCB appointed him as the trainer of Bangladesh High Performance Unit.

He has a reputation for tidy work and friendly behavior. The experienced trainer also has an organization called ‘Richard Stanier Sport and Fitness Professional’.
