Bangladesh’s appointment of new head coach has been taken into further stride as BCB decided to ponder over the selection of new coach. Bangladesh will soon face Sri Lanka in home soil before the beginning of the tri nation series.
On Saturday, BCB President sat for a meeting with three captains of different formats of the game and coaching staffs to discuss about the appointment of new head coach.
It is reported that all three captains of the national team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim agreed with the BCB President and CEO of taking time to make a new selection.
Later BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon informed, “We will have a board meeting tomorrow where we will decide about an interim appointment. For now, there is Richard Halsall and the board director Khaled Mahmud Shujon also.”
BCB President further said, “We can select a coach even yesterday or the day after yesterday. That’s a different issue. But I’ve said them to be mentally prepared so that if any coaches will not be available soon, we can have them.”
