BCB President called me and said everything would be alright: Bijoy
Anamul Haque Bijoy was one of the 16 foreign players to play in the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore on Sunday. He couldn’t do well in the match for his team Quetta Gladiators, as he scored only 3 off 9 deliveries, and his team also lost the match to finish runners-up in second straight year.

After returning to Dhaka on Tuesday, Bijoy disclosed that he is yet to receive his payment. “My payment hasn’t arrived yet. I was in the Silver catergory (10,000) dollar. My manager said I would get it soon. I believe I would get it if I stayed Pakistan for some days more. Hopefully I will receive the payment within a few days’ time. Maybe not the full, but at least 8,000 dollar.” [Read also: Miraz hopeful of comeback]
Bijoy also shared his experience of playing in Lahore. “Overall it was a good experience. Initially I was a bit tensed. My family was also tensed. But I felt relieved once I got their support. The security measurements in Lahore was very high. I was taken to the hotel by a bullet-proof car. It was an extraordiry feeling.”
Bijoy also revealed how helpful BCB had been throughout the time. “BCB kept me in touch all time. Even the BCB President (Nazmul Hasan Papon) personally called me and instilled confidence in me. He told me not to worry and that everything would be alright.”
