BCB to provide food for 20,000 people
The governing body of cricket in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stands beside poor and helpless people in financial crisis due to coronavirus. The board will distribute food packets of 20,000 people affected by coronavirus.
Lockdown is underway across the country to prevent coronavirus infection. In this, the unemployed and poor people have fallen into danger. The financial crisis has also been seen. Even in many middle-class families, there are shortages of food.
In such cases, rich people are coming forward with help of disadvantaged people. BCB will prove food assistance to 20,000 people this time.
In areas where the prevalence of coronavirus is high, the need for humanitarian assistance is also high. To stand beside the people who are in danger, the board will pack and distribute the essential commodities, including rice, pulses to the disadvantaged people in those areas. This great activity will continue throughout this month.
In this regard, BCB’s top executive and media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said, “With the funding of the cricket board, we are trying to do something for the public. In the meantime, we have been thinking that we will pack around 20,000 food packets and distribute it to the most coronavirus affected areas. It will be distributed throughout the month and it may start within few days.”
