BCCI announces cash rewards for Indian players and support staffs

Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to reward special cash prices for Indian Test team and support staffs.

Virat Kohli and co registered the first ever Test series win for India in Australian soil following the drawn Test in Sydney Cricket Ground. This has included their names in the special pages of history of Indian cricket team.

Virat Kohli not only became the first Indian captain to win a Test series in Australian soil but also became the first Asian captain to do so in Kangaroo Island.

After the historic series win, Indian Test team are full among the praises and wishes. To add their joy more, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has came up with an exciting reward for the team as they have decided deliver special cash prizes for the players as well as support staffs.

The players, who made it to the playing eleven would get a per-match amount of INR 15 lakhs, even as the ones benched, would get INR 7.5 lakhs. The coaches would get INR 25 lakhs for their relentless work behind the scenes as per reports.

Even though the hosts were missing their star players David Warner and Steve Smith because of their one year bans, India had to fight hard for this memorable moment in their history.

India started the series on a high note with a victory in Adelaide Oval in the series opener by beating them by 31 runs. However the hosts came back strongly in the second game in Perth Stadium.

Following the defeat in Perth, Indian players did an excellent job for another memorable win at Melbourne Cricket Ground in the Boxing Day Test. In the last and final Test rain played a major part and forced a draw to the game.
