A TV show called Koffee with Karan hosted by a filmmaker named Karan Jahar invited cricketers in his show for the very first time and it has created massive controversies.

Hardik and Rahul, who are known as best buddies off the field were the guests of the show and they were asked several questions related to the game as well as their personal life too.

Keeping the norm in the show, host Karan Johar asked some very personal and intriguing questions. The duo had unhesitatingly picked current Indian skipper Virat Kohli over Sachin Tendulkar as the better batsman. And this has triggered many cricket fans all over the world and the duo are still getting bashed on social media.

But it went to another level when Hardik made comments on relationships, dating and other questions related to women. His comments were labeled as misogynistic, racist and a blatant display of sexism. Hardik also boasted about hooking up with multiple women and also how open he has been about it with his parents.

And the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn’t take too long to take action after this controversial incident. The board have issued show-cause notices for their comments on women.

Vinod Rai, the Chairman of the Committee of Administrators said

“We have sent showcause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments. They have been given 24 hours to give an explanation.”

Meanwhile, Hardik has already apologized for his comments via social media

“After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect.”

However, KL Rahul has not yet responded to the criticism and he is still silent despite all the comments.
