BCSA takes part in WC 2019 countdown show

The twelfth edition of the biggest cricketing show on earth, the ICC World Cup 2019 will initiate with the match between host England and South Africa on 30th May, 2019 at the famous Oval Cricket Ground. The countdown of 365 days has begun on 30th May, 2018.

In the countdown parade at the Brick Lane, London, members of Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association (BCSA) made bright presence accompanying Bangladesh national team star opener Tamim Iqbal Khan and cricket’s living legends like Clive Lloyd, Brian Lara, Waqar Younis, and Allan Donald.

Earlier 15 members of Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association’s UK branch received the invitation letter from International Cricket Council to join in the show.

BCSA UK branch President Abdus Salam said, “We were really pleased receiving the invitation from ICC to join in the countdown ceremony. And we are happy to be a part of the show on 30th May. Now we are eagerly waiting to provide support for team Bangladesh in the field. Hope our team will do a fine job like the way they did in Champions Trophy.”

During the two hour long ceremony, cricket legends passed sometime with their fans before participating in street cricket with brick lane children.

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson promised to present a different show of entertainment in the forthcoming World Cup. “Every team will receive the support like home crowd in the field,” he said.
