Behardien hopes to hand Bangladesh another clean sweep
Host South Africa white washed visiting Bangladesh in both Test and ODI series. Leading the T20I series by one match, the home team is on the vicinity of another clean sweep.
Prior to the second and last match in Potchefstroom, Proteas performer Farhaan Behardien intended not to give away anything to Bangladesh in the final encounter of this year’s tour.
“We play each match to win. We want another clean sweep here also and do not want to provide any fragrance of win before Bangladesh fly off to home. This series has become useful to us prior to the India series,” Behardien said.
He also said, “With just a single match to go, we don’t want to lose the grip. The team played well and won the previous match; hope the result of the coming match would not be different than that.”
Appreciating the tactics of new coach Ottis Gibson under whom South Africa is playing their first series, Behardien said, “Gibson came along with some new ideas. We have no limitations now, for every section of the game, the sky is limit. We have been playing very well, have given chances to young guns and there is another chance in front of them to work out.”
The Proteas performer also said, “I know Bangladesh is desperate for a win; the tour has not been going well for them since now. But I can say we are not over confident. We will step into the field once again with fighting spirit and complete the clean sweep.”
