The left handed Tiger top order batsman, however, does not think he will give into the pressures of captaincy. “Look, it (pressure) is part and parcel of every cricketer’s career and it will become hard for anyone to be succeed in international cricket if one is unable to survive it”, said the “little dynamo”.
He further added, “I think it is better to play street cricket if you cannot handle the pressure in international cricket. Being named captain of the team is encouraging for me. Perhaps the responsibility I am given with is huge but at the same time it will allow me to gather some experience which will surely be very useful in my upcoming career. I look forward to using this opportunity.” To be noted, its going to be the first tour abroad as a captain for Mominul.
He also talked about his own goal and about his incoming matches. “This tour will also allow me to test myself. Though I don’t have a personal target in specific but I will be looking to grab any chance that comes my way. And if I manage to score some runs, that will boost my confidence before facing the World Champions Australia,” conceded Mominul.
