Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Amit Mishra ruled out of IPL 2020

Bhuvneshwar Kumar suffered an injury in the game against Chennai Super Kings. He felt a bit of pain in his hip and failed to complete his last over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been hit with a huge blow as their key bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury. According to a report in ANI, he suffered hip injured and can not take further part in the tournament.

The fast bowler could not bowl the last over of his spell in the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was seen sitting out in the final few over and skipper  David Warner gave no indication or update on Bhuvneshwar’s fitness and whether he will be fit to play against Mumbai Indians after the end of the game.

In Sunrisers Hyderabad’s next game, Siddarth Kaul played in place of Bhuvneshwar and it did not go to well for Warner and his men. Kaul conceded 64 runs in his 4 overs and Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a heavy defeat against the defending champions Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals leg-spinner has also been ruled out of the tournament due to a finger injury. He suffered the injury against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game. He played three games this season and picked up three wickets.

Axar Patel is likely to be back in the side replacing Mishra. He will be the second spinner in the side alongside Ravichandran Ashwin for Monday’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. It will be interesting to see if Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad buy any like-for-like replacement or not.
