BPL 2019-20: Chris Gayle goes to Chattogram Challengers
Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Players’ Draft 2019 is underway at the Hotel Radisson in the capital. The teams have the opportunity to select local and foreign players through a lottery.
Chattogram Challengers get first chance at picking foreign players. And getting the chance, West Indies’ disastrous opener Chris Gayle has been picked for the first time by them.
Dhaka Platoon takes Sri Lanka’s destructive all-rounder Thisara Perera in their first pick of foreign players. Rajshahi Royals have taken England all-rounder Ravi Bopara, while Khulna Tigers have taken South African batsman Rilee Rossouw.
In the meanwhile, Rangpur Rangers have taken the experienced Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi in their first chance. Cumilla Warriors goes for Sri Lanka opener Kusal Perera and Sylhet Thunders have called on West Indies’ all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford.
