“Chris Gayle will be joining the team on January 5. He will play against Rajshahi Royals on January 5.”

Earlier, Gayle was astonished to see his names in BPL players’ draft 2019. Consequently, there was a major doubt about his participation in this year’s BPL.

But Chattogram Challengers authority later negotiated with Gayle successfully. After the talks, Chattogram Challengers authorities said Gayle would play in the last stage of this year’s BPL. However, Chattogram Challengers authority did not provide a specific date then. Finally, the date of participation of Gayle was announced yesterday.

Chattogram Challengers have made great performances so far without Gayle. Chittagong is at the top of table with 10 points in 7 matches. They also scored 200+ runs in two consecutive matches in their respective fields. The port city team also scored the highest team total in current BPL and the second highest team total in BPL history.
