BPL 2019-20: Mashrafe finally goes to Dhaka Platoon

Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Players’ Draft 2019 is underway at the Hotel Radisson in the capital. The teams have the opportunity to select local and foreign players through a lottery.

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has finally got the team in this year’s draft. He didn’t get any team in the first four round of local players but in the fifth round Dhaka Platoon has taken Mashrafe in their team for this year’s BPL.

Local players are divided into ‘A+’, ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ and ‘E’ grades. 4 players are available in ‘A+’ grade and 9 players are available in ‘A’ grade. And in ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ and ‘E’ grades 24, 41, 59 and 44 players are available respectively.

Foreign players are divided into ‘A +’, ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ grades. The highest players are available in the ‘D’ grade which are 272. Apart from this, 11 players have been placed in ‘A +’ grade, 15 in ‘A’ grade, 66 in ‘B’ grade and 75 in ‘C’ grade.

The countdown to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will begin from December 8. On that day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the tournament. The tournament will be held on December 11 this year.
