Brad Hogg picks the best bowler between Lyon and Ashwin
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg hit the headlines recently as he picked the best spinner between Aussie cricketer Nathan Lyon and Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. Hogg strongly reckons that Nathan Lyon is comparatively a better off-spinner than Ravichandran Ashwin when it comes to the longest format of the game.
Brad Hogg said this during a recent question and answer session with the fans on the social media platform. When a fan had asked Brad Hogg who is the better off-spinner between Ravichandran Ashwin and Nathan Lyon.
Replying to this question, the former Aussie chinaman bowler had claimed that Lyon is a better bowler than Ravi Ashwin because the 32-year-old Lyon made giant strides over the last year.
“I feel Lyon has taken the mantle from Ashwin over the last year just as the best off-spinner, but I love the way both continue to improve there games and not be complacent where they are at. #hoggytime,” Brad Hogg tweeted.
Previously in the year, Nathan Lyon had scripted his first-five wicket haul at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He accomplished the feat on day three of the third Test between Australia and New Zealand.
Australia spinner Lyon also edged past England’s legendary all-rounder Ian Botham in the list for leading wicket-takers in red-ball cricket during the series.
