The Chattogram phase of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is over and while having a quick conversation with the former Australian leg-spinner Brad Hogg, he had words of praise for the Bangladesh fast bowlers. He also played in the first edition of BPL for Sylhet Royals.

“We are seeing some good talents coming through. I have seen some bowlers who are bowling around 135-140 kmph, which is a good sign for Bangladesh cricket. That’s probably one aspect of the game where they need to find some talent,” he said.

Hogg also thanked the fans for supporting all the way and described his international career with some words.

“It’s been a privilege to play this game at the highest level. Thanks to everyone out there for being good fans of cricket and hopefully enjoyed like I did. Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Mark Taylor and Michael Clark, I played with all of them and they are very tactical and I’m lucky to play with all of them.

The former leg-spinner also revealed his favourite Australian bowlers.

“Best Australian bowlers according to me is Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath. But Jason Gillespie’s record was also exceptional. So I was lucky to witness all of them. And the best wicket-keeper is Adam Gilchrist, he changed the definition of wicket-keeping.”
