Brad Hogg takes a dig at Virat Kohli-led team
India might have whitewashed Kiwis in the T20I series by winning five games in a row but it was the other way around when the focus switched to the ODI format. New Zealand humbled India with a sensational 3-nil victory in the ODI series.
After gaining the much-needed momentum, New Zealand won by ten wickets in the Wellington Test and took the first lead in the two-match Test series.
Meanwhile, former Australian chinaman bowler, Brad Hogg had claimed that the Virat Kohli-led team was simply flawless and strong in the first leg of the tour, but then went into vacation mode during the last couple of matches in New Zealand.
Furthermore, Brad Hogg said that the Indian team has had more problems in Test cricket while playing away from home in New Zealand.
The former Australian spinner added that the Indian national cricket team has plenty of catching up to do to tackle the seaming ball in the next Test match in Christchurch.
After getting humiliated at the hands of Kiwis at Basin Reserve in Wellington, India lost its fourth match in a row during the ongoing tour of New Zealand, which is an embarrassing record.
“India still has there troubles in New Zealand in test cricket. Batsmen have five days to find a way to play the seaming ball before Christchurch. The first two weeks they meant business, the next four weeks are turning into a sightseeing tour. #thetraveller #BCCI #INDvNZ #NZvIND,” Hogg tweeted recently.
India will hope that they perform well and execute their plans to perfection in the second and final Test match at Hagley Oval in Christchurch which starts from February 29, Saturday. India are likely to make changes to the line-up in an attempt to level the series while New Zealand will be looking forward to registering a clean-sweep against India.
