The skipper of the Indian team, Virat Kohli is arguably one of the best batsmen across all formats of the game. He is one of the few batsmen who could score consistently in all formats. In the recently concluded ODI series against Australia, he has reached 12000 run mark in ODI career.

Steve Smith is one of the most unorthodox batsmen in the world at the moment. He is arguably one of the best players especially in the longest format of the game. When he was criticized for his strike-rate, he scored back to back ODI centuries at a strike-rate of about 150 against India.

Kane Williamson is one among the fabulous four batsmen as he has shown his consistency is all formats of the game. Many were doubt on his hitting skills, but he has proved that he can play any kind of inning.

Joe Root is the most suited player for the ODI and Test format. As he does not have hard-hitting skills, he was even dropped from England’s T20I squad. He played an important role for his team when England won the 2019 World Cup.

Even though AB de Villiers has retired from international cricket, he is still in the amazing form. He is currently playing the T20 leagues around the world. The bowlers have always struggled to bowl to him as he can smash any kind of deliveries.

A few cricket fans were not happy with Lara’s selection:

According to the few fans, the former West Indies cricketer should have picked Rohit Sharma in that list. The right-hander has been sensational for his team since his debut. He is undoubtedly one of the best batsmen in limited-overs cricket at the moment.

The fans of Pakistan cricket are also disappointed with the selection as he has not picked Babar Azam. The right-handed batsman has been in good form and performing consistently in all formats of the game. He will be surely in the list of fab four if he continues to perform the same way.
