Brisbane Camp crucial for success

Bangladesh 2nd day of camp for home series against Zimbabwe (10)Tauhidul Islam
Heath Streak does not doubt the ability of Bangladeshi pacers in Australian and Kiwi conditions, but he believes that it is crucial to adjust to the conditions properly. He believes that the two week camp in Brisbane arranged by the BCB would help a lot in acclimatising to the conditions.
Heath said, ” The two weel camp in Brisbane would help our players to adjust to the conditions and it is very important. The boys have to apply there what they are learning over here.”

The Tigers leave for the camp on 24 January. Other than Mashrafe Mortaza, the other pacers are Rubel Hossain, Al Amin Hossain and Taskin Ahmed. Heath is happy to have four different types of pacers in the squad, “Our fast bowlershave a lot of variety. Some can swing the ball, like Al Amin and some can bowl quick, like Taskin. So there should not be any problems in this department”.

Streak think that Bangladesh is capable of playing in the quarter final provided they beat the associates Afghanistan and Scotland and win against one or two strong teams in the group.

This is to be noted that the other teams in the group that Bangladesh will face in the world cup are co-hosts Australia and New Zealand, as well as Sri Lanka and England.
