Broady my friend you are a legend: Yuvraj

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh hailed fast bowler Stuart Broad for becoming the 7th bowler in the history of Test cricket to pick 500 wickets.

Yuvraj Singh on Stuart Broad
England fast bowler Stuart Broad is one of the prime examples, who showed that come back is always greater than the setback. A 17-year old bowler, who was smashed for six sixes in an over by Yuvraj Singh in 2007 has grown exceptionally well over the years.

Broad is now one of the influential bowlers in England’s bowling department in both the formats of the game and he took his name to the history book after he picked up his 500th Test wicket on Tuesday against West Indies. He is only the 4th fast bowler and 7th overall to take 500 Test wickets in the history of cricket.

India’s dynamic all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who smashed six sixes against Broad proved it again why cricket is called the gentlemen’s game as he had words full of praise for the fast bowler. He also requested his fans to not mention about the sixes and take a moment to appreciate Broad.

“I’m sure everytime I write something about Broad, people relate to him getting hit for six sixes. But today I request all my fans not to mention it but to applaud what this man has achieved. “500 test wickets is no joke. It takes years of hard work, dedication and determination. How you have always fought and come victorious over your setbacks, Broady my friend you are a legend. Hats off,” he said.
