Brothers Union manages a win at last

Being defeated in three out of total four matches they played in Dhaka Premier League, Brothers Union was pushed their back in the wall. Finally, they has got out from the situation.

On Sunday, Alok Kapali’s team achieved their second win of the tournament; this was against Khelaghar Shamaj Kalyan Shamity whom they thrashed by 71 runs.

In Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL), losing the toss, Brothers went to bat first at Savar BKSP 3rd field and scored 267 runs by 6 wickets.

In reply, the Khelaghar could not exceed 196 runs in 50 overs. Kapali’s team left the field with a 71-run win. Nahiduzzaman took three wickets for Brothers. Alok Kapali and Maninder Bisla took two wickets each. Besides, Mohammad Saddam and Kamrul Islam got one wicket each.

Earlier, Brothers scored 267 runs in 50 overs, Farhad Hossain and Maisuqur Rahman did half-centuries respectively.

After Junaid Siddiqui got off with 4 runs, opener Mizanur Rahman continued with the help of Farhad Hossain. But he was out just two runs away from his half century.

Mizan smashed 48 runs in 66 balls consist of five fours and two sixes. Farhad was dismissed as the third batsman facing 83 balls, with 6 fours and 3 sixes, he scored second highest 67 runs.
Maisuqur remained unbeaten in 84 runs in 90 balls with five fours and three sixes. Dhiman Ghosh was also not out with 42 runs.

Tanvir Islam grabbed three wickets for Khelaghar Shamaj Kalyan Shamity. Masum Khan, Rezaul Karim and Nazmus Sadat took one wicket each.
