Alex Hartley pokes fun at England’s batting unit

When a team lost the match, it is important to back the team no matter how hard the situation. It is not good to take a dig at the losing team. But England’s woman cricketer Alex Hartley poked fun at the England batsmen as they succumbed to India’s bowling attack.

It all started when Alexandra Hartley took to her official Twitter handle and wrote: “Nice of the England boys to get this test match finished just before England Women play tonight????????.”

Rory Burns and Ben Duckket react to Hartley’s tweet:

While fans didn’t react to Hartley’s tweet, England men cricketers namely Rory Burns and Ben Duckket took it seriously as they found it as an offensive tweet. Burns responded to Hartley’s post by writing: “Very disappointing attitude considering all the boys do to support the women’s game.”

Later on, the cricketer deleted the tweet. Here’s the screenshot below:

England are out of the ICC World Test Championship final after they lost the pink-ball Test. On the contrary, Team India have a great chance of qualifying for the Test final if they manage to win or settle for a draw in the series decider. The fourth and final Test will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 4 (Thursday).
