Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman's current team Delhi Capitals and former team Rajasthan Royals faced off in the Indian Premier League on Friday. However, the current team Delhi had to accept defeat in this controversial match.
All Delhi bowlers, including Mustafizur, were helpless in front of Jos Butler's devastating century. Rajasthan scored a mammoth total of 222/2 in 20 overs, courtesy of a Butler century, Paddikal 50 and a Samson cameo.
After such bowling, it was difficult for Delhi to win the match. Rishabh Punt's 44, Lalit Yadav's 36, Prithvi Shaw's 36 and David Warner's 28 were not enough to win the innings. In the 19th over, the Prasidh Krishna wicket maiden made it almost impossible for Delhi to win.
Delhi needed 36 runs in the last over. Rowman Powell hit three sixes in the first three balls. However, there was tension all over the stadium as a no-ball wasn't given and wasn't even checked by the 3rd umpires.
After a stoppage, the play did resume, but Powell lost his momentum. In the end Rajasthan won by 15 runs, moving up to the top of the table.
