It’s always been a difficult task to bat on Australian soil specially in Tests. But there have been some memorable innings by the batsmen in Australia this century.

There have been more than 250 scores of 100 of more in Tests in Australia so far this century. Among these innings, Cricket Australia (CA) has picked 20 best innings according to the quality of the bowling attack, the difficulty of the conditions, strike rate, the length of the innings, the percentage of the team’s total and the situation of the game.

Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis’ match saving debut century tops the chart with no surprise because of it’s considered as one of the best innings Test history. Du Plessis batted for almost 8 hours in total and 376 balls and saved the match for the Proteas.

In the list, there are two innings from former Australia captain Ricky Ponting and current Australia star batsman Steve Smith. There are also innings from some legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Kumar Sangakkara, Alastair Cook.

There are also some outstanding innings from current batsmen including Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, David Warner.
