Deepak Chahar picks up another hattrick in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Rajasthan after his breathtaking bowling against Bangladesh in the third T20I.
Indian fast bowler Deepak Chahar is living the best phase of his career at the moment as he picked up two hattricks in the span of three days for India and Rajasthan respectively.
India played against Bangladesh in the T20I series decider on November 10 where the hosts clinched a comfortable victory, in the end, courtesy of Chahar’s stunning bowling figures of 6/7, which became the best ever T20I bowling figure.
Chahar picked up the opening wickets of Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das to give Bangladesh an early blow. Then he broke the vital partnership by removing Mohammad Mithun followed by the wickets of the tail-enders to pick up his first hattrick in international cricket.
In less than 48 hours, Chahar made another historic record as he grabbed yet another hattrick, this time for Rajasthan against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He picked up the wickets of Rathod, Wagh and Nalkande to complete his hattrick.
However, Rajasthan lost the match by one run (VJD method) after they failed to chase down 107 runs in 13 overs. Vidarbha initially posted 99/9 in their 13 overs.
