Chennai Super Kings likely to be the first franchise to board UAE

After a lot of speculation and proposition , finally The Indian Premier League (IPL), the most popular domestic cricket franchise in world cricket, is starting in the United Arab Emirates from September 19. The 13th edition of the IPL will be held in the United Arab Emirates due to coronavirus outbreak in India , where it supposed to be held.

Chennai Super Kings likely to be the first franchise to board UAE

The UAE government has approved the proposal given by the Board of Control for Indian Cricket (BCCI). Therefore, IPL is all set to happen in the middle East. The teams have to arrive in the UAE by August 20 to participate in the IPL. They have to arrive a few days earlier before the start of the tournament in order to maintain the mandatory isolation period. Although, all the franchise has set chartered flight and arrangements to board the destination, Mahendra Singh Dhoni led Chennai Super kings likely to reach the desert country first.

Dhoni’s team will reach the desert in the second week of August. Chennai were runners-up in the last edition of IPL. They lost to Mumbai Indians in the final. The franchise has won the IPL title three times Led by Dhoni all the three times.

Former India captain Dhoni has been out of action since the last World Cup. He still has the ability to return to the national team to prove him again with the IPL. Cricket expert and critics believes that IPL is the only way for MS Dhoni to return in the national side.
