Barisal Bulls pacer Kevon Cooper scalped four wickets in expense of 39 runs against Rangpur Riders in the second qualifier of the BRB Cables Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season three on Sunday. With this, Cooper’s wicket-taking tally rose up to 20, which he achieved from just 8 matches.

The West Indian now is just one wicket short of Comilla Victorians pacer Abu Haider Rony, who got 21 wickets from 11 matches. So the competition is still very much on and it might be decided on Tuesday in the final match of the tourmament as to who eventually becomes the highest wicket-taker of the BPL-3. However, Cooper is not interested to go in a race with anyone as it is more important to him to win the title for his team rather than claiming any individual milestone.

“I don’t want to compete with anyone. I am not even thinking about it. Now we are in the final and my focus is entirely on how we can become champions,” said Cooper in reply to a query after the match against Rangpur Riders, where his team won by 5 wickets to register place in the final.
