Crowd to return in Australia-New Zealand series

All the cricket matches that have taken place so far during this pandemic have been played behind locked doors. The fans are finally likely to be allowed to witness the matches live from the stadium during New Zealand’s tour of Australia.

Cricket Australia (CA) have informed on Monday that a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend the upcoming series between Australia Women and New Zealand Women in Brisbane.

The last time cricket was played in Australia when the men’s team was taking on New Zealand. However, the series got suspended midway due to the start of the pandemic.

The fans in Australia will finally witness a cricket match live from the stadium after CA informed a little amount of fans will be allowed to enter the stadium. The attendance has been capped at 50 percent in line with the state government regulations and the fans have been advised to “try to keep shouting, singing, cheering or celebrating to a minimum to avoid transmission.”

The tickets are likely to be available only online and the payment procedures will be made contactless. The fans also won’t be allowed to take photos, autographs or having any kind of contact with the players.
