CSA to limit players’ time in IPL


Cricket South Africa (CSA) has stated that the players under their contract will have to make their way back to the country for international duty. [Read in Bangla: আইপিএলকে দুঃসংবাদ দিল দক্ষিন আফ্রিকা]

imageAccording to a recent news report, the board headed by Haroon Lorgat has asked the players to return by May 8.

The sources also reveal that this information has been made public to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as well.

With such decision from the South African board, fans will see their favourite Proteas players playing less number of matches in the upcoming 10th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, the likes of AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Morne Morkel and other will be seen playing in South Africa’s domestic revolutionary T20 tournament, which is expected to be a mega hit this year.

Tony Irish, the member of the SACA stated that the players are certainly expected to come back early. “We’re aware that they will have to come back early. I can’t say when,” Tony Irish of SACA said.
