Jadeja, who was recently lamblasted for his poor run of form by Manjrekar, made an instant impact by taking a wicket and maiden only in his first over of the India-Sri Lanka match.

Recalling the war of words between Sanjay Manjrekar and Ravindra Jadeja, the commentator had recently called Ravindra Jadeja a ”bits-and-pieces” cricketer. Respondng to him, Ravindra Jadeja said that he has had enough of the commentator’s ”verbal diarrhoea”.

“I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner,” Manjrekar tweeted.

While Jadeja has by far scored 2035 runs and taken 174 wickets in 151 ODIs, Manjrekar played only 74 ODIs and scored 1994 runs and took just 1 wicket.

“Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal [email protected],” Jadeja tweeted.

But Jadeja had by then not appeared in a single game in the 2019 World Cup but has made a huge difference on the field as a substitute fielder.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings Twitter handle entered the frame to troll Sanjay Manjrekar.

“Thala dislodged those bails, in bits and pieces! #SirJadduIsBack,” a tweet from CSK’s Twitter handle said.
