CSK rope in Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad as a net bowler

Chennai Super Kings made the headlines recently when they roped in two net bowlers earlier. The three-time IPL champions recruited South Africa’s Hardus Viljoen before adding Afghanistan’s left-arm fast-medium bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi.

In the latest development, the yellow army has shown keen interest to rope in yet another net bowler. This time around, they hired a spinner identified as Noor Ahmad. The Afghanistan prospect will be looking forward to helping MS Dhoni’s team in the practice session.

CSK are preparing extremely hard to bounce back in the wake of their terrible outing in the 2020 season at the United Arab Emirates. They failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in history. MS Dhoni’s team finished seventh in the points table.

They managed to win only 6 games and lost 8 games. They were languishing at the bottom of the points table and were never looking to move up. However, they won the last three games to steer clear of a bottom place as they finished above Rajasthan Royals.

However, this time around, CSK look like a different team altogether. They fixed the leaks and filled the shoes wherever necessary and are looking to start the next season on a positive note. They made great purchases in the mini IPL auction.

CSK will begin their campaign against Delhi Capitals in the second game of the IPL which will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 10.

Meanwhile, the three-time champions have already begun their preparations earlier this month in Chennai before shifting to Mumbai last week. MS Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, and Dwayne Bravo have already joined the preparatory camp.
