Meanwhile, BCB’s Cricket Operation Committee’s chairman Akram Khan has informed that 14-15 players from the national team are currently injured and it has turned into a serious worrying issue for the Tigers.
Akram told reporters:
“Currently 14-15 players are injured. This is a very serious issue for us, because we don’t have many option. Now we have to take every step carefully.”
According to the chairman, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehidy Hasan and Mohammad Mithun are among the players who are not fit at the moment. Mominul Haque is suffering from hand injury while pacer Rubel Hossain is also in the list.
However, Akram is still hopeful that except Shakib and Tamim, most of the players will be available for the Zimbabwe series.
“We have to think which players can play and which players can not. And we have to win too. We will give chance to youngsters. If they perform well, then it will be good for us. Then we can take some risks in the future.”
