Danielle Wyat cheers Rohit Sharma’s batting against SA
India initiated the three match series against South Africa with a dominating 203-run win in the first Test in Visakhapatnam. The merit inevitably goes to Rohit Sharma as the Indian opener claimed back to back hundreds in the match.
After the show, England woman cricketer Danielle Wyat praised Rohit Sharma in the social media. Sharma was among talks when he was elevated in the opening spot where he did a wonderful job along with Mayank Agarwal.
Wyat took the Instagram where she shared Rohit Sharma’s press briefing picture and captained, ““ROHITTT……..what a player!!”
The English cricketer earlier expressed her admiration for Virat Kohli after the Indian captain’s unbeaten half-century against South Africa.
Sharma became only the sixth Indian batsman to achieve the feat of scoring back to back Test hundreds. He was the first opener in the history of the game to amass more than 300 runs in his inaugural match as an opener.
In a bulk of records that poured in Vizag in the given match, Rohit registered his name as the first batsman to score seven consecutive half century innings in India.
During the first innings of India where the home team scored a giant 502 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, Sharma scored 176 runs in 244 deliveries hitting 23 boundaries and six sixes.
Meanwhile, in the second innings, Rohit Sharma plundered 127 runs featuring 149 deliveries hitting 10 fours and 7 over-boundaries.
The second Test between these two started from October 10 in Pune followed by the final Test to be started from October 19.
