The fear that was moving through has come true. There had been a lots of talks and tensions about the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) this year. The date for the league was rescheduled many times. Finally, it was fixed on 3rd July. But after all the incidents Bangladesh cricket has gone through there was a sort of suspicion that the board which looks for causes more often would reschedule it again. Moreover, the cricket clubs also wanted to reschedule the league.
There was another rescheduling, that is the player recruitment programme. “The player recruitment programme and the commencement o the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2012-13 originally scheduled for 23rd June and 3rd July, respectively had been deferred due to unavoidable circumstances,” BCB has said in a press note.
Yesterday the BCB president said to the journalists that he would like to start up the league after getting the report of ICC Anti Corruption & Security Unit (ACSU). He also cleared his preference to start up the league on September. Later in the day the president stated that he would sit with the Cricket Committee of the Dhaka Metropolis on Saturday. “I will sit with them tomorrow. The starting day may be deferred by one or two days. It’s still not clear yet.” He said
