Dhawan wishes Ramadan Mubarak with an emotional message
Delhi Capitals batsman Shikhar Dhawan had words full of praise for Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan as the duo played the match after fasting for the whole day.
It is needless to say that we have witnessed some amazing moments in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). The most highlighted one was the tremendous collaboration of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow in Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Even before the start of the tournament, Warner and Bairstow had a rough relationship with each other due to some incidents in the past. But the duo turned out to be the most destructive openers in this season’s IPL. They both smacked hundreds together and were often seen celebrating like they are brothers from another mother.
The tournament has certainly united the rivals and it has won the hearts of all the cricket fans in the world.
Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan came up with absolutely a heartfelt message via his Instagram after the Eliminator 1 between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The opening batsman wished everyone Ramadan Mubarak and appreciated the Afghanistan duo Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan as they were fasting the whole day before playing the game.
“Wishing everyone Ramadan Kareem. So proud of both of them! It is not easy to fast the whole day and then play the match. But you guys make it look effortless! An inspiration for their country and the world cricket!
Your energy motivates everyone to dream big and achieve it. Proud of you brothers. May Allah’s blessings be always with you,” he said.
Delhi Capitals won the eliminator 1 in a thrilling fashion and they will face Chennai Supers Kings in the eliminator 2 on Friday.
