England include Stokes for St Lucia Test
England have included all-rounder Ben Stokes in their 12-man list for the third and the final Test against Windies.
Despite missing out the team’s training session two days out from the game due to a bruised heel, Stokes is expected to take part in the final Test of the series that England has already lost 0-2.
However, wicket-keeper batsman Ben Foakes has been left out after he injured his hand while batting in England’s first innings in Antigua. He was unable to keep wickets in either innings. Although, he came out to bat lower down the order in England’s second innings.
Meanwhile, Mark Wood is likely to replace Sam Curran who managed to pick only one wicket in this series. Pacer Mark Wood and opener Keaton Jennings are also likely to feature in the starting XI.
England lost the first Test match by a mammoth 381-run while they also lost the second Test in an embarrassing way by 10 wickets.
England’s 12-man short-list: Joe Root (C), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Joe Denly, Keaton Jennings, Ben Stokes, Mark Wood.
