England were 132/3 on day four after they conceded a lead of 369 runs to the hosts. The fifth morning’s start was not pleasing for the visitors as they lost Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali after they got starts.
Ben Stokes put up fight with Chris Woakes in a 83-run partnership for the seventh-wicket. Stokes played an important knock under the circumstances with 188-ball 66 including 6 boundaries. The all-rounder fell just before the dinner break.
Woakes departed in the last session scoring 52 runs off 118 deliveries hitting 8 fours. New Zealand bowlers struck thrice in the last session to end England’s innings.
