England take No.3 spot in ICC Test Championship points table
After a disappointing defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the two-match Test series, England cricket team under the tutelage of Joe Root bounced back on track in their tour of South Africa. They have convincingly clinched the third Test of the four-match Test series by an innings and 53 runs against South Africa at Port Elizabeth.

It is worth mentioning here that India and Australia are dominating this championship and rightly so, they are placed first and second respectively. With 86 points, in seven games, England have pushed Pakistan to the fourth position (80 points) but they are still behind India, who sit firmly on top with 360 points.
India have not lost even a single game in the ICC Test Championship. Having played seven games, India won seven matches. Australia follows next on the list with 296 points in 10 games. England’s recent win against South Africa was the second win of the ongoing series. They had also won the second Test by 189 runs at Cape Town.
Ollie Pope received the man of the match award for his candid knock of 135 runs in the first innings. Meanwhile, the hosts South Africa will now have to win the fourth Test in a bid to get a series draw.
